As part of its social responsibility to promote the UAE’s authentic values, Abu Dhabi Customs rolled out 14 initiatives and events during the holy month of Ramadan. These activities reached nearly 13,000 beneficiaries, including employees and diverse community members. The initiatives aimed to enhance community well-being, foster the values of volunteerism and collaboration, and promote understanding of Islamic culture and principles.
The Ramadan agenda includes a variety of charitable activities carried out in collaboration with strategic partners. Among them is the sixth edition of the "Feed and Reap" initiative, launched by Abu Dhabi Police in partnership with the "Abshir Ya Watan" volunteer team, which supports the distribution of iftar meals to commuters in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Additionally, the "Breaking Fast" initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent. Abu Dhabi Customs has also organized educational and awareness-raising religious lectures for its employees in coordination with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat. These lectures were delivered by esteemed scholars who are official guests of His Highness the President of the UAE.
Through these initiatives, Abu Dhabi Customs seeks to embody the values of Ramadan and uphold the UAE’s longstanding traditions of generosity and humanitarian service. The initiatives also highlight the importance of fostering a deeper understanding of Islam’s principles, reinforcing its message of moderation and compassion. By actively contributing to sustainable community development, Abu Dhabi Customs reaffirms its role in promoting the UAE’s humanitarian efforts and strengthening its global reputation as a leader in charitable and social work.Update On
