As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of customs clearance operations and expand the scope of the “Invisible Customs Ecosystem”, the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has launched the Data Hub And Future Reporting Advancement “DHAFRA” for data governance and management.
The launch took place at the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion during its participation in GITEX Global 2024, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The system, powered by AI algorithms, manages, processes, and analyzes data to provide accurate, automated predictions that support informed decision-making. This improves the quality of customs operations and facilitates the movement of trade, supply chains, and logistics.
The Data Hub And Future Reporting Advancement “DHAFRA” ensures operational efficiency by governing data quality and facilitating its digital sharing with relevant entities, adhering to the highest standards of quality, privacy, and reliability. Additionally, it offers a comprehensive repository containing data from various sources, enhancing the ability to proactively respond to changes and ensuring the seamless continuity of customs operations.
His Excellency Rashid Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, stated that the launch of the Data Hub And Future Reporting Advancement “DHAFRA” is part of Abu Dhabi Customs' ongoing efforts, in collaboration and coordination with various partners, to support its system, aligned with its ambitious strategy to establish global leadership and enhance the sustainability of customs systems by relying on advanced technologies, innovative techniques, and AI tools. This initiative presents a unique model that aligns with the economic visions of Abu Dhabi and the UAE in managing customs operations through smart and more effective governance and data management, contributing to time and effort reduction and accelerating procedures, particularly in customs clearance operations. This, in turn, positively impacts the smooth flow of trade and positions Abu Dhabi as a prime destination for business.
